Dr. Mars J. Lans, a retired Dentist and Inventor, and his wife Rita are getting ready just outside of Chicago to travel to the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally in August to promote a new bridge to the general public…and it’s not the kind of bridge you drive across. The Lans’ will be heading out to Sturgis, South Dakota in the affectionately labeled “Monodont Mobile”, named after his invention, The Monodont Bridge…a Dodge Cargo Van which is really a traveling Dental exhibit. “I have driven in excess of a million miles over the last ten years promoting this affordable approach to replacing a missing tooth” says Lans. “You really begin to appreciate how long it can take (even with a great idea like this) to get the word out to the general public when you don’t have tens of millions of dollars to spend on advertising.” Why promote a new Dental Bridge at a Motorcycle Rally? “Motorcycle enthusiasts tend to be pretty mechanically oriented people. This bridge is all about the principles of physics and mechanics.” Dr. Lans and Rita are doing advance mailings to as many Sturgis and Rapid City Dentists as they can get a hold of to invite them over to the Monodont Mobile and the Demonstration. Literature will be available for folks to take back to their Dentists. “We’re hoping to have our brochures safely tucked inside of saddle bags traveling back to all parts of the country after the Rally” said Lans. They will be located at 1736 Lazelle Street in Sturgis. They invite anyone interested to visit www.monodont.net. |
